Get ready in a home full of charm and natural light
Last August, I had the privilege of telling the love story of Philipe and Rasha, a couple who traveled from Zurich to celebrate their wedding in Umbria. The chosen location was Villa Taticchi, an ancient residence a few kilometers from Perugia, nestled in the green countryside and surrounded by authentic tranquility. My photographic story began right there in its rooms, during the couple's preparations. There was a suspended atmosphere, made of emotional glances, tense smiles, and small gestures full of meaning. Every detail—from the dress to the light filtering through the windows—seemed to naturally contribute to the discreet beauty that only authentic places can offer. Villa Taticchi, with its rustic yet elegant charm, perfectly captured the delicate moments of those moments, making them even more intense, offering intimate and harmonious glimpses for candid, unpretentious images.
A multicultural and romantic ceremony in the Umbrian countryside
After the preparations, the civil ceremony took place in the villa's garden, in a lively and moving atmosphere, made even more special by the presence of friends and family from all over the world. Philipe and Rasha's union was also the union of two cultures, two histories, and two sensibilities that merged in a single moment, surrounded by the warmth of their affection. After the ceremony, we left Villa Taticchi in a vintage white Beetle, perfect for cruising the roads nestled between the vineyards and fields of the Umbrian countryside. It was during that short drive that I was able to capture some of the most authentic and poetic shots of the day. The soft and enveloping sunset light accompanied every gesture with spontaneous grace. No posing, just the truth of the moment: eyes searching, hands brushing, sudden laughter. Umbria, with its gentle curves and deep silences, became an accomplice and witness to a story brimming with harmony.
Dinner under the stars, dancing, and memories to cherish forever
The evening continued in the villa's garden with an elegant outdoor dinner, accompanied by warm lighting, traditional Umbrian dishes, and the serene atmosphere of a wedding truly lived. Villa Taticchi was transformed into a cozy, family-friendly space, where every table spoke of affection and every toast was a sincere wish. The celebration continued late into the night, with music, dancing, and seemingly endless embraces. For me, it was natural to observe and recount all this with respect and discretion, striving to convey the truth of what was happening in every shot: simple yet profound emotions. Philipe and Rasha's was an authentic celebration, where nothing was exaggerated and everything was heartfelt. And this, I believe, is precisely what makes a wedding special: the coherence between who you are and what you experience.
